See the Eifel Tower in the distance?

We like sports. Thankfully, Erick isn't one to plop himself in front of the TV on the weekend to watch endless games, but we do enjoy the occasional basketball, baseball or football game. The kids think it's fun to root for our teams and, now that Jack can read, he tells us that last play was a foul and that they are taking time-out. So we're fans, but not necessarily fanatics . . .
. . . until July rolls around, that is. I shouldn't say we are fanatics, more like Erick, as the avid bicyclist, is the fanatic. It's Tour de France time which means every day for three weeks we are watching the pelotons and yellow jerseys and green jerseys race around France. While in Paris in October last year we had to see the Champs-Elysée and the Arc de Triumph which is where the tour concludes. This yearly event is the sole reason we got digital cable a few years back (I'm not even sure if you need digital cable to watch it anymore, but yet our digital cable remains). Anyhow, since this is a race, only substituting cars for bicycles, Jack is all over it. So in honor of it he drew a map! Now he can follow along as the cyclists race to Paris. So I guess we can add Jack to that fanatic list.
