We spent the last two days of Memorial Day weekend at the beach. It was a quick trip, but it was packed with fun. The kids have discovered "Funland" which is the arcade in downtown Long Beach. All of a sudden, this is the number one destination now every time we are in town! So after walking along the beach we made our way to the super-loud, over-stimulation that is Funland. We put $5 on Jack's card so when it was gone, it was time to leave. Then it was off to Scoopers for ice cream and a walk on the boardwalk back to the house. Sunday before heading home, we enjoyed a nice picnic on the beach with perfect beach weather. The kids dug holes, drove dump trucks over hills, filled buckets with sand and attempted to make sandcastles. Thankfully their sandcastles don't need to be too elaborate for them to be thrilled with them. One turned over bucket did the trick!
