Helping make salad for our dinner
Both Kaitlin and Jack love to help us cook. Erick and I are constantly being bombarded with "I want to do it" every time we open the fridge or put something in the microwave. Erick has much more patience with letting them help than I do, but the added bonus is they usually will eat it or at least try it if they helped make it (I must add that to the parent wisdom file in my brain).
The cute thing is, Kaitlin has to be wearing one of her two aprons while we cook, otherwise she will make us stop while she goes to get one before we can continue. Apparently Erick used to do this with hats when he switched activities (baseball hats, army hats, etc.). The correct accessories are a must in this family!
