To say Jack liked attending his first Blazer's game would be an understatement.
Back in February, Erick took Jack to his very first Blazer's game. This was a Christmas gift (tickets and Trail Blazer t-shirts) from me since I thought it was time for Jack to experience Blazermania firsthand. Needless to say, it was a big hit! Jack and Erick were treated to a come-from-behind victory over the visiting NY Knicks by a Brandon Roy bucket at the buzzer (you can read all about it here). As the Rose Garden erupted in cheers, Erick said Jack started crying he was so happy! He surprises us with his sensitivity sometimes.
So ever since this amazing experience, Jack has been talking Blazers non-stop. He watches every game, draws pictures of the court, reads the game program over and over, will tell you that Brandon Roy is his favorite player, and even looks up on his map where the Blazers are when they are playing on the road. He's even taken an interest in the sports section of the paper and gets so excited when the Blazers are first in the Northwest division (which seems to fluctuate daily, much to his frustration).
He would love to go to another game, but with the regular season coming to a close, tickets aren't the easiest to get a hold of. So he's just enjoying watching the games on TV for now in the hopes that his beloved Blazers won't let him down.
